Meet Information
- This year's West 1A Regional will be held at Asheville Christian Academy, 74 Riverwood Rd., Swannanowa, NC 28778 on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Hosted by Cherokee HS (1A ) 1-A West Meet Director- Eddie Swimmer, 828-506-4151, eddie.swimmer@ccs-nc.org
- Also,this year 2A West will be Running also, Co-Hosted by Smokey Mountain.
We will continue to use MileSplit (nc.milesplit.com) to enter teams into the regionals.
Each school is allowed to enter up to seven (7) individuals for regional competition.
Please have a copy of your registration confirmation at the Regional Meet.
Entries are due no later than 3:00pm on Friday, October 21, 2016.
Late entries may be submitted to the NCHSAA, using the form posted on the website, no later than 3:00pm on Monday, October 23rd.
A $50 fee will be assessed for each individual entry.
Entries are due by 2:59p.m, Friday, October 20, 2017.
Walk Through
The course will be open 5:00-6:00 pm for a walk through/light practice on Friday 10/27.

8:30 a.m. Parking and gate opens - 9:00 -- 9:45 a.m. Course Walk on your own, course is very well marked and easy to follow.
9:15 a.m. Officials and Volunteer Meeting
9:30 coaches meeting for both 1A and 2A coaches
10:00 a.m. -- 1A Boys
10:30 a.m. -- 2A Boys
11:00 a.m. -- 1A Girls
11:30 a.m. -- 2A Girls
12:15 p.m. -- Awards
Rules Reminders
All regular season and conference meets must be completed before the regional entry deadline.
The NFHS 2017 Track & Field and Cross Country Rules Book is applicable this fall.
GPS devices are not permitted.
Watches with GPS function are also prohibited.
Uniform Reminders:
Any visible garment(s) worn by two or more team members underneath the uniform top shall be unadorned and of the same single, solid color, but not necessarily the same length.
Any visible garment(s) worn by two or more team members underneath the uniform bottom, extending below the knees, shall be unadorned and of the same single, solid color, but not necessarily the same length.
As per NFHS rules, a single, visible manufacturer's logo and/or single school name or insignia no more than 2 inches are permitted on the undergarment.
Timing/Scoring
All timing and scoring will be done by Big Kahuna Timing.
Gate/Entry Charges
There will be a $6 parking fee for all vehicles entering ACA. There will be no gate admission.
T-Shirts
Regional t-shirts will be for sale at the event.
